MARGO PRICE

Margo Rae Price is an American country singer-songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. The Fader has called her "country's next star." Her debut solo album Midwest Farmer's Daughter was released on Third Man Records on March 25, 2016. The album was recorded at Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, and was engineered by Matt Ross-Spang. The album was recorded in three days. On tour, she is backed by her band the Pricetags.

In December 2018, Price received a nomination for Best New Artist at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.

Price grew up in the small town of Aledo, Illinois, where she played piano and sang in church choir before studying dance and theater at Northern Illinois University. She dropped out of school in 2003, at age 20, and moved to Nashville, Tennessee.

In Nashville, Price worked a number of jobs including waiting tables, installing and removing residential siding, and teaching children dance at a YMCA.[ Price and her husband, guitarist Jeremy Ivey, were part of Secret Handshake, a band that only played political songs before she and Ivey started Buffalo Clover and later formed Margo and the Pricetags, which she says was "supposed to be a supergroup." Sturgill Simpson and Kenny Vaughan, longtime guitarist in Marty Stuart's band, have both been in the lineup at various times.

Price has been described by Rolling Stone Country as "a fixture of the East Nashville music community," and appeared on that publication's list of Country Artists You Need to Know in 2014. Fellow Nashville musician Aaron Lee Tasjan calls her "a singular and vital part of this scene, as a thing unto herself." In 2015, she provided backing vocals to the song "Prohibition Rose" from The Limestone Kid album by Parker McCollum.

On April 9, 2016, Price was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. On 17 May 2016, she made her UK television debut on Later... with Jools Holland. In addition to her appearance on UK television, her tracks have appeared on shows on BBC Radio 6Music, notably with Steve Lamacq. On October 6, 2016, she appeared on Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. On 16 November 2016, she appeared on Charlie Rose, performing "All American Made" (a Buffalo Clover song), and "Hands of Time" from Midwest Farmer's Daughter.

Price has proven to be popular in the UK, with her album reaching number 1 on the UK Country Album chart, embarking on UK tours in 2016 and 2017, performing on Later... with Jools Holland and at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival as well as garnering 3 nominations from the UK Americana Awards. She performed as part of the C2C: Country to Country festival in 2018.

On July 27, 2017, Price released a four-track EP titled Weakness, followed by her second full-length album All American Made on October 20, 2017.

Margo Price's take on classic sounds is at once familiar and daring, an infectious blend of Nashville country, Memphis soul, and Texas twang.

THE MALDIVES

The Maldives are an alt-country band from Seattle, Washington, known for sold-out live performances described by KEXP-FM as "transcendent". They have released four full-length albums and one EP. Their 2009 album Listen To The Thunder was rated the second best "Northwest Album" of 2009 by Sound on the Sound. Seattle radio station 90.3 KEXP described their 2012 album, Muscle For The Wing, as having "a grittier, more guitar-oriented roots-rock sound." The Maldives regularly play in Seattle and throughout the West Coast and have performed at the Sasquatch!, Bumbershoot, South by Southwest, Capitol Hill Block Party, Treefort, and Doe Bay music festivals.

The Maldives provided live orchestration for the 1925 silent movie Riders of the Purple Sage as part of the 2010 Seattle International Film Festival and again for the 2013 festival, scoring the silent film "The Wind". They are based in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle and were filmed playing there as part of MTV's online series, $5 Cover: Seattle.

In addition to traditional rock instrumentation, the members of the band play banjo and accordion. Once described as "the best unsigned band in Seattle", The Maldives have released albums on Spark & Shine Records and Mt. Fuji Records.

Charlie Hager's Truth And Love Now Released!!

In 2016, American Saga, his first album was released. It was received well by the media. During 2016 and 2017 Charlie played with his band at numerous venues around Nashville and on several radio stations live in both Nashville and Knoxville. Also, he began working on his sophomore album, "Truth And Love".

In July of 2018, he relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada because of his work with a production company. He is also working on establishing himself on the west coast.

At the end of 2018, the new album was completed and is now released on Flour Sack Cape Records. The album is a collection of new songs and ones that have been written up to 10 years ago. Touching on folk and country, Charlie says of the album:

"Technically, the Truth And Love album was conceived in 2015 just prior to the release of my American Saga album in March of 2016. Originally, I had this idea of making an album called “The X-Files” in honor of my life with my x-wife. However, in May of 2016, I was watching the news about the primaries and noticed how just about everyone involved in the election was lying so I started writing a song which eventually ended up being the title track."
