Having recently released 'Too Much Sleep, Not Enough Dreams' through Under The Bridge Records, a four track E.P produced by ex Bad Idea's Sam Cook, Arms & Hearts has toured extensively and relentlessly over the past three years, gaining support slots with the likes of Jared Hart, Skinny lister, Northcote, Listener, Pinegrove, Rob Lynch, This Wild Life, Tim Kasher, Ben Marwood, Beans On Toast, Apologies I have None and Ducking Punches. 'Best described as the aptly named heart felt venture of Steve Millar. While influences of The Gaslight Anthem and Chuck Ragan are apparent, it's his passion for his songs that really come out strong, committing to a full 'heart on your sleeve' musical exploration.

His Masters Voice from Auckland, New Zealand call their style of music “The Devils Blues”. Listen to any of their releases, 2014's 'Possession' 'Save My Soul' from 2016 or their latest EP, 'Woman' released in October of 2017, and you will hear influences from the greats of classic HEAVY rock but with a contemporary energy and relevance.
Musically and visually the band possess an inventive and original signature style that showcases the strength of their collective song writing, yet allows their individual talents to show through. His Masters Voice put everything into their live performance. To them, their audience comes first and that audience grows in number and dedication with every show.
Take the blues and revive them with dosage of danger. Add filthy southern rock riffs. Swirl in a generous serving of Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. Drop in a few drugs. And then, amidst the swirling haze, you will find you have produced His Master's Voice. (willnotfade)

The Speedlights outta Denton, Texas, play powerful power pop rock n roll tunes. Dwayne Ray (Guitar/Vocals), Josh Prisk (Drums), and Tony Greene (Bass/Vocals) used to play music together back in what? 1992? Well, they got back together during 2015 and added in the famous Jess Boyer (Guitar) the UPS driver for maximum on time delivery of some extra jangle.
Dwayne and Josh had discussed one day their mutual love of power pop and how more recent groups (1990s+) seemed to not have that 70's edge of the early groups and decided to get back to writing tunes again along with their old friend Tony and see if they could bring that edge.
They play original tunes that are in the vein of Big Star, The Cars, Cheap Trick, and The Ramones. They released their debut self titled EP in 2015 which received local air play, inclusion on several podcasts, as well as air time in Sweden and the UK.
"A mix of The Raspberries Power Pop Sound mixed with the Revival Mod/New Wave bands from England in the late 70's." - Ice Cream Man Power Pop and More, Sweden
Two years after their self titled debut EP, The Speedlights return with their first full length album, "Night Driver". The ten new tracks build on the late '70s powerpop influences that formed the earlier recording, but it's almost as if the band have now moved ahead a few years into the new wave early '80s. The pop hooks are still ever present for the North Texas quartet, though the addition of random synthesizer lines and occasionally darker moods are more akin to The Cars than The Knack this time out. "Night Driver" will be released early November 2017, by Jigsaw Records on CD and Wiener Records on cassette.

Hailing
from Leeds, UK and forming in late 2015, then placed on feared
permanent hiatus, due to the banjo player's hand gettin 'bit off by a
damn mutt'. The band, consisting mainly of members of Bootscraper, Jake
and the Jellyfish, Bad Knaves and China Shop Bull, forthwith dubbed
themselves Dog Hand String Band. Now they're back with working fingers,
ravenous hunger, righteous ire and sinister new powers.
What is a
dog hand? Poison soaked murder ballad, backwoods bluegrass, horror
folk. Liquor, corruption and bad juju. Imbibe at own risk.
01 - Intro/Blood Moon Blues 02 - Threw You In The Well 03 - Aristabano Mountain Bar 04 - Gin Shop Hollow 05 - Long Live The Dead 06 - Behold The Crow
"Tooth
n Nail" was recorded entirely live in a mere 2 hours, no money, no
edits, no bullshit, representing the awful cacophony you'll see live.
Mixed by the band's idiot banjo player/singer and mastered on the
promise of a place to stay to bide out the coming apocalypse. This is
the first Dog Hand. There is another on its way. Free to download. Due
dirt for true devils.
‘New’
Australian Country Band, The Dirty Hanks, were legends on the live
scene; and dominated country music in Melbourne in the late 80’s and
early 90’s.
They attracted a large ‘cult’ following, in
particular, through their marathon seven year Saturday residency at the
Prince Patrick Hotel, Collingwood and Thursdays at the Prince Of Wales,
St Kilda.
The Dirty Hanks were often broadcast and written about,
played at numerous festivals and benefits, undertook a couple of tours
of Sydney and won the Victorian Country Music Awards.

Back in 1983, Mr. Ratboy was Brian Blade – the guitarist for The Mystery Girls, a Shangri-Las/Dolls/Modern Lovers-influenced combo whose only recorded legacy is a very rare acetate 33 RPM single, limited to only 5 copies with a xeroxed cover. The four tracks featured here are the far-superior demos recorded in Switzerland with a full band that included not only the future World Famous Mr. Ratboy, but also the enigmatic Zmotron, who went on to play in an early incarnation of The Dogs D’Amour under the name Mark Draxx. Download now, and be the first on your continent to hear these historical recordings.

Taking their name, as you do, from an old Hoover vacuum model, Dirt Search Headlight was formed circa 1992 following the demise of Philly’s Red Herring and Carnival of Shame. The band featured future Sour Jazz singer Mr. Popular (Lou Paris) and drummer Splat Action (Pat Fitzgerald), alongside guitarist Mark Telling and bass player Spencer Lloyd. These tracks were recorded circa 1994 by Kramer at Noise New Jersey. The band fell apart before anything was released, but the song “Australia” did end up as the theme of the very first X Games TV special on ESPN. CLICK HERE for live footage from 1993.

Between Mr. Ratboy leaving Motorcycle Boy and joining Marky Ramone’s Intruders, there was the mighty Pillbox. Together with vocalist Chris Barry (ex- 222s & 39 Steps), bassist Johnny Baum, and Screamin’ Joe Rizzo on drums, Pillbox repeatedly proved to be a antidotal neighbourhood threat to D-Generation. Their first album ‘Jimbo’s Clown Room’ was released in 1993 on the Circumstantial label and became an instant classic amongst those who regarded it as an instant classic. Download and dig... you deserve it. CLICK HERE to watch the promo video for "Holly".

Released in 1995 on Feralette Records and produced by Godfrey Diamond (producer of Lou Reed’s “Coney Island Baby” album), this vinyl-only 10” EP found Pillbox with a new lineup, in the shape of Mark Phelan on vocals and Barry Hughes on bass. As Trouser Press pointed out, “As Pillbox's sonic architect, Mr. Ratboy reveals himself capable of writing and playing more complicated and subtle music.” Many thanks to the Beer For Breakfast blog for the vinyl rip and scanned artwork. Click, behold, marvel.
